Description

Golden Russet Bosc pears are tender, aromatic and sweet. Known for both its looks and tastes with a distinctive flavor and golden russet-bronze appearance.  A Bosc pear tree will produce later into the season than other types. This variety is an abundant producer. Usually, harvesting Bosc pears starts in early to mid-fall, and the fruit will last well into winter with proper storage.

Fruit is firm and of medium size with a spicy-sweet flesh. Ideal for fresh eating, baking and drying. Keeps for up to 6 months in the refrigerator.  Bosc matures about 20 days after Bartlett. The tree is vigorous and productive.

Not self-fertile. Requires cross pollination with another pear.

Trees are sold as bareroots (not potted) and will be available for pickup from May 2nd-4th, 2026. 

Potted trees will be available in May, for $10 more per tree, subject to availability.
