Eastern White Cedar 125cm

White Cedar, or Melia azedarach, is a fast-growing, deciduous shade tree native to Australia and Southeast Asia, known for its fragrant lilac flowers and toxic yellow fruits.

Description and Appearance

White Cedar is a deciduous tree that typically grows 6–12 metres high, though it can reach up to 30–35 metres in favorable conditions. It has a rounded or umbrella-shaped crown with bipinnate, dark green leaves that are shed in winter, providing seasonal light and shade . The bark is brown with narrow furrows, giving a striped appearance, and the tree produces star-shaped lilac to white flowers with a chocolate-like fragrance, usually in spring but sometimes extending into summer.
