Description
Berry Blue Honeyberry is a hardy deciduous shrub. Its fruit is deliciously tart and perfect for fresh eating or production.
Berry Blue is an early pollinating variety. Pair with other early pollinators to have a higher yield.
Aurora is a great companion variety.

Haskap trees are not self-fertile, so 2 varieties are needed and 3 will give best results. It is important to have at least one pollinator (Berry Blue) for 10 plants.
Compatible strains: Indigo Gem, Honey Bee , Aurora.
Planting distance between each plant: 4 feet.
Height: 5-6 feet
Width: 4 feet

Haskap, an exciting new crop for North America, is particularly well suited for northern areas. Its unique, complex taste is reminiscent of a tasty blend of blueberries, raspberries and blackberries.
Its powder blue to dark blue fruits are elongated and grow on a shrub 4 to 5 feet tall at maturity. Cameos have an extremely high antioxidant value (ORAC) with significant amounts of anthocyanins, polyphenols and bioflavanoids :
The qualities that make it a plant of choice for northern cultivation refer to its high resistance to cold for the shrub (-47 degrees Celsius) and for its flowers (-7 degrees Celsius) as well as its ability to remain dormant during a winter mildness.
The camerisier requires cross-pollination to obtain an optimal yield. Good pollinator Borealis and Berry Blue.
